General Information On Body Panels With Weld Stud As Ground Connection - Ah60.00-P-0045-01A

NOTES

Body panels with one or more weld studs as ground connection must, depending on the material concept, be connected so that they are electrically conductive with the body via a MIG or MAG weld seam, a MIG solder seam or via resistance spot welding.

Otherwise, a reliable electrical connection cannot be guaranteed.

Theft-relevant component.

NOTES

No reliable electrically conductive connection is guaranteed for mixed constructions of steel/aluminum.

A ground strap must also be installed here.

NOTES

If no suitable adjacent weld stud is available, an additional weld stud must be fitted (through welding or soldering).

Attachment solely by means of rivets and adhesives is not permissible.

Observe the following information in regard to this:

If a cavity is present under the weld stud, it must be treated with cavity preservation accordingly.
