Remove/Install Track Rod - AR35.20-P-0109W

	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
		While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surfaces of aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.
1	Detach left and right rear wheel		AP40.10-P-4050V
2	Unclip lever (1) of left rear level sensor from clip (2) of left tie rod (4)	When removing the left tie rod (4) on vehicles with code (615) Bi-xenon headlamp unit with integrated curve illumination or with code (621) Intelligent Light System (left-hand traffic) or with code (622) Intelligent Light System (right-hand traffic) or with code (483) ADVANCED AGILITY package.
3	Unclip lever (1) of right rear level sensor from clip (2) of right tie rod (4)	When removing the right tie rod (4) on vehicles with code (483) ADVANCED AGILITY package.
4	Detach tie rod (4) from wheel carrier	Do not damage the rubber boot of the tie rod (4). : Clean grease off the ball head bolt as well as beveled seat in the wheel carrier. Press ball head bolt firmly into the cone and if necessary hold securely using an Allen wrench.

5	Mark eccentric disk (3) of tie rod (4) relative to rear axle carrier (arrow)	: Observe marking.
6	Detach tie rod (4) from rear axle carrier		*BA35.20-P-1002-04I
7	Install in the reverse order	: Only tighten bolts and nuts of the chassis components in the curb condition.
8	Perform wheel alignment check		AR40.20-P-0200EW
