Settings On Workshop Level, Function - GF54.30-P-2020RD

Function requirements, general 

IMPORTANT The electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) sends the status of circuit 15 to the instrument cluster (A1) as of 01.03.2016 via the interior CAN (CAN B) and up to 29.02.2016 via the chassis CAN (CAN E).

Workshop level adjustments, general

The workshop level is used by the technician in the workshop for reading out vehicle and service data and provides assistance with carrying out the service.

The "Workshop level" menu is activated as follows:

The display in the multifunction display (A1p13) changes to the workshop level. It is possible to scroll between the respective menus and submenus or through the different lists by pressing the scroll forward/back button (S110s1). Selection is then made by pressing the

OK button.

The steering wheel electronics (N135) directly reads in the control signals from the multifunction steering wheel button group and sends these via the steering LIN (LIN E1) to the steering column tube module control unit (N80). The steering column tube module control unit sends them to the instrument cluster as of 01.03.2016 via chassis CAN 1 (CAN E1), front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and chassis CAN 2 (CAN E2) and up to 29.02.2016 via the chassis

CAN.

The following menus are accessible:

"Dynamometer test" menu

Activating the dynamometer test prevents faults being entered in the Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4) during the brake test on the roller dynamometer.

The following settings can be selected in the dynamometer menu:

IMPORTANT If the workshop menu is left and the menu "Dynamometer test" was not deactivated prior to this, it will be automatically called up during the next ignition cycle.

"Change brake pad" menu

In the "Change brake pad" menu, the following settings can be called up:

"ASSYST PLUS" menu

The following data can be called up in the ASSYST PLUS menu:

IMPORTANT After a service is performed, the service interval is reset in this menu.
