| 1 | Open Vario roof fully | ||
| 2 | Completely move front seats and backrests toward front | ||
| 3 | Switch off ignition | ||
| 4 | Remove draft stop or left and right glass draft stop (2) and associated brackets from roll bars | ||
| 5 | Remove center cover (3) | ||
| 6 | Remove left and right speaker cover with belt guide (4) and allow to hang on seat belt | ||
| 7 | Remove roll bar trim (5) | ||
| 8 | Move both seat backrests to the rear | ||
| 9 | Move the Vario roof to the intermediate position with the Vario roof actuation switch so that bolts (11, 13) are accessible and secure this intermediate position | Fig 2 | |

| 10 | Remove Vario roof front section trim (6) | ||
| 11 | Attach suitable adhesive tape (7), as shown, to main rear shelf flap (8) | Use stable adhesive tape (7). Otherwise, main rear shelf flap (8) will be damaged when screw (13) is removed and tightened. |

| 16 | Position main guide (1) in such a way that screw (14) is accessible | ||
| 17 | Unscrew screw (14) and remove it together with spacer sleeve (16) | *BA77.33-P-1020-01A | |
| 18 | Remove main guide (1) | ||
| 19 | Install in the reverse order |
