MODIFICATION NOTES

- Completely move front seats and backrests toward front.
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove draft stop or left right glass draft stop (1) and associated brackets from roll bars.
- Remove center speaker cover (2).
- Remove left and right speaker cover with belt guide (3) and allow to hang on seat belt.
- Remove cross member paneling (4).
- Remove left and right coat hanger hooks (5).
- Remove pocket (6) from rear wall cover (7).
- Remove left and right cover (8) from rear wall paneling (7).
- Fold rear wall paneling (7) toward front until cross member cover (9) can be removed.
- Remove crossmember cover (9) and lay down toward front with electrical lines connected.
- Disconnect electrical connection (10).
- Connect emergency actuation wiring harness to electrical wiring harness connector (10).
- Connect emergency actuation wiring harness to onboard electrical system battery.
- Fold up rear shelf main flap with emergency actuation wiring harness.
The rear shelf drive electric motor does not switch off automatically, when the rear shelf main flap is folded up completely. For this reason stop holding switch emergency actuation wiring harness after reaching end position.
Otherwise the rear shelf drive electric motor can be damaged.
The symbols on the switch of the emergency actuation wiring harness must not correspond to the actual driving direction. Therefore, when actuating for the first time, press button only momentarily to determine which button is responsible for which direction of motion.
Otherwise the rear shelf drive electric motor can be damaged.
- Disconnect emergency actuation wiring harness.
- Install in the reverse order.
