| 1 | Switch on ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||

| 3 | Turn filter towards right (arrow) and remove filter | ||
| 4 | Disconnect electrical connector of electrical line (4) from COMAND fan motor (M4/13) | ||
| 5 | Unscrew bolt (3) | ||
| 6 | Detach COMAND fan motor (M4/13) from instrument panel carrier | ||
| 7 | Slide air duct (5) towards rear and unclip from guide (6) | ||
| 8 | Install in the reverse order |
