Remove/Install Elastomer Bearing Of Strut Rod On Wheel Carrier - AR35.20-P-3402LWX

	Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process		AH00.00-P-0020-01A

	Remove
1	Remove rear axle RPM sensor and place to one side with line connected		AR42.40-P-0820LW
2	Remove strut rod (1) from wheel carrier (2) and fold downwards	The screwdriver bit is to be used when a bolt with a multi-socket tooth profile is fitted.

3	Grease spindle of extraction and insertion tool (4) with rolling-element bearing grease
	High temperature antifriction bearing grease (NLGI grade 2)		BB00.40-P-0265-01A

4	Position extraction and insertion tool (4) on wheel carrier (2) and elastomer bearing (3)	Make sure that the extraction and insertion tool (4) is seated correctly.

5	Pull elastomer bearing (3) out of wheel carrier (2) in direction of arrow and remove
	Install
6	Grease spindle of extraction and insertion tool (4) again with rolling-element bearing grease

7	Position extraction and insertion tool (4) with new elastomer bearing (3), as shown, onto wheel carrier (2)	Make sure that the extraction and insertion tool (4) is seated correctly.

8	Draw elastomer bearing (3) in direction of arrow into wheel carrier (2)	Draw elastomer bearing (3) in far enough to level out the protrusion on the wheel carrier (2) on both sides. The elastomer bearing (3) must be located in the middle in the wheel carrier (2).
9	Detach extraction and insertion tool (4)	Extraction and insertion tool	Fig 1
10	Mount strut rod (1) onto wheel carrier (2)	The screwdriver bit is to be used when a bolt with a multi-socket tooth profile is fitted.
