| 3 | Unclip cover (17) and remove | ||
| 4 | Detach damper from spring control arm and push towards steering knuckle | MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242 MODEL 246 without CODE 486 (Sports suspension) |

| 5 | Insert upper clamping plate (01) into rear axle spring (1) | Fig 4 | |
| 6 | Insert tensioning device (02) with lower clamping plate (03) into rear axle spring (1) and lock upper clamping plate (01) | ||

| 7 | Mark installation position of rear axle spring (1) relative to upper clamping plate (01) using adhesive tape (arrows, see Fig 2) | ||
| 8 | Clamp rear axle spring (1) using clamping plates (01, 03) and tensioning device (02) and remove rear spring (1) from rear axle | ||

| 9 | Relieve tension of removed rear axle spring (1) using tensioning device (02) and clamping plates (01, 03), remove rear axle spring (1) | ||

| 10 | Detach upper spring seat (2) and lower spring seat (3) and check for signs of damage, replace if necessary | ||
| 11 | Install in the reverse order | ||
