Remove/install lower wishbone - AR33.20-P-0510NKB

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Lift vehicle on vehicle lift   AR00.60-P-1000AK
2 Remove left or right front wheel    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP40.10-P-4050AK
3.1 Detach lower engine compartment paneling MODEL 117 with ENGINE 133, 270
MODEL 156
MODEL 176 with ENGINE 133, 270
MODEL 242 with ENGINE 270, 780
MODEL 246 with ENGINE 270

3.2 Remove bottom section of soundproofing MODEL 117 with ENGINE 607, 651
MODEL 176 with ENGINE 607, 651
MODEL 246 with ENGINE 607, 651		  
  AR94.30-P-5300NKB
4 Detach left or right wheel well liner   AR88.10-P-1300NKB
5 Unclip electrical lines from cable ducts (1) on transverse control arm (2)    
6 Remove bolt (7) to transverse control arm bearing (4) and transverse control arm (2) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only tighten bolt (7) in ready-to-drive condition.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, transverse control arm to transverse control arm bearing *BA33.15-P-1004-01F 
7 Remove bolt (3) to transverse control arm bearing (4) and frame floor assembly    
NOTES Notes on bolted connections with self tapping screws   AH00.00-P-0007-01SF
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, transverse control arm bearing to longitudinal member *BA33.15-P-1003-01F 
8 Remove nuts on transverse control arm bearing (4) and front axle carrier (5) and pull out bolts (6) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, transverse control arm bearing to front axle carrier *BA33.15-P-1002-01F 
9 Remove bolt (8a) to transverse control arm (2) and front axle carrier (5) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only tighten bolt (8a) when in ready-to-drive condition. Nut (8b) in retaining plate (9) must be replaced.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, transverse control arm to front axle carrier *BA33.15-P-1001-01F 
10 Pry off supporting ball joint from steering knuckle   AR33.20-P-0440-01NKB
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, supporting ball joint/transverse control arm to steering knuckle *BA33.15-P-1005-01F

11 Detach link rods on torsion bar TORQUE SPECIFICATION Self-locking nut, connecting rod to torsion bar *BA32.20-P-1002-02K 
12 Remove transverse control arm (2) from front axle carrier (5) NOTES
Do not damage rubber boot on supporting ball joint.
Otherwise the transverse control arm (2) has to be replaced.
IMPORTANT Push torsion bar on front axle upwards.
IMPORTANT When replacing the transverse control arm (2) the cable ducts (1) have to be modified.		  
INSPECT Check     
13 Check condition of rubber boot on supporting ball joint When reinstalling transverse control arm (2).    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP33.20-P-3353AK 
    IMPORTANT If rubber boot is defective the transverse control arm (2) has to be replaced.  
CLEAN Clean     
14 Clean cone on transverse control arm (2) and transverse control arm bearing (4) IMPORTANT There must be no oil or grease on the cone and on the thread.  
15 Install in the reverse order    
16 Perform wheel alignment check   AR40.20-P-0200NKB
