| 3 | Place absorbent shop towel in area between engine mount and drain screw (2). | ||
| 4 | Remove drain screw (2) from transfer case. | ||
| Drain off | |||
| 5 | Pull out overflow pipe using extraction hook and drain oil from transfer case. | Collect escaping oil in a suitable container. Damage can otherwise occur. |

| 6 | Clean threaded hole in transfer case. | ||
| Install | |||
| 7 | Insert overflow pipe into transfer case and screw in using old drain screw (2) until the overflow pipe latches audibly into place. | ||
| Remove | |||
| 8 | Remove old drain screw (2) from transfer case. | Dispose of old drain screw (2). Otherwise, this may lead to leakage and consequential damage. |

| 9 | Screw the adapter (4) with the sealing ring (5) into the threaded hole of the drain screw (2). | Fig 2 | |
| Pour in | |||

| 13 | Disconnect hand pump from adapter (4). | Drain off excess oil. Damage can otherwise occur. |

If less than 50 ml of oil flow out of the transfer case, ↓ fill 100 ml into hand pump and repeat operation step 11. If more than 50 ml of oil flows out of the transfer case ↓ the transfer case is sufficiently filled, continue with operation step 14. |

| 16 | Screw new drain screw (2) tightly into transfer case. | Replace drain screw (2) each time it is removed. Otherwise, this may lead to leakage and consequential damage. |
