CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.		 AS00.40-Z-0001-01A
  Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
  Notes on repair work on suspension components   AH00.00-P-0100-01A
REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove corresponding rear axle shaft (37) Model 213.088/089/288/289 AR35.30-P-0621MNE 
    Model 213 (except 213.088/089/288/289), 238 AR35.30-P-0621OLC 
2 Pry radial shaft sealing ring (32a) out of rear axle differential (50) using a suitable tool NOTES
Do not damage the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (32a) in the rear axle differential (50). Otherwise leaks may occur.		  
3 Clean seat surface of radial shaft sealing ring (32a) in rear axle differential (50) Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
4 Check seat surface of radial shaft sealing ring (32a) in rear axle differential (50) for damage If damaged.
↓
Replace rear axle differential (50).		  
    Model 213.088/089/288/289 AR35.31-P-0522MNE 
    Model 213 (except 213.088/089/288/289), 238 AR35.31-P-0522OLC
INSTALLING Install     
5 Moisten sealing lip of new radial shaft sealing ring (32a) with transmission oil    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7) NOTES
Do not apply any oil to the seat surface in rear axle differential (50) and around the outer circumference of radial shaft sealing ring (32a).
Otherwise leaks may occur.
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS		 BB00.40-P-0235-07A
6 Press in new radial shaft sealing ring (32a) using drift (03) until drift (03) makes contact with rear axle differential (50) SPECIAL TOOL Drift Fig 2
7 Replace retaining ring (37o) on inner splined profile of corresponding rear axle shaft (37)    
8 Install corresponding rear axle shaft (37) Model 213.088/089/288/289 AR35.30-P-0621MNE 
    Model 213 (except 213.088/089/288/289), 238 AR35.30-P-0621OLC 
9 Check oil level in rear axle differential (50) and correct, if necessary Model 213.088/089/288/289 AR35.31-P-0520-08MNE 
    Model 213 (except 213.088/089/288/289), 238 AR35.31-P-0520-08OLC 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Oil filler screw of rear axle differential *BA35.31-P-1002-02H 
    FLUID SPECIFICATION Model 213.088/089/288/289Filling capacity for rear axle differential with differential lock *BF35.31-P-1003-02C 
    FLUID SPECIFICATION Model 238Filling capacity *BF35.31-P-1001-02D 
    FLUID SPECIFICATION Model 213 (except 213.088/089/288/289) except code 700 (Technology Local Content China) Filling capacity *BF35.31-P-1001-02C

10 Check rear axle differential (50) for leak tightness
