6	Release and disconnect the electrical connector (2).
7	Remove contact protection (3).
8	Remove circuit 30 electric line (4) from starter (M1).	Nut, connection for circuit 30	*BA15.30-P-1002-01P
9	Remove screws (5).	Bolt, starter to major assembly carrier/crankcase	*BA15.30-P-1001-01P
10	Remove starter (M1) downward.
11	Check pinion of the starter (M1) for wear and damage.	When reusing the starter (1). If damage is present, ↓ Replace starter (1).
12	Remove impact plate in front of poly-V-belt.
13	Check starter ring gear an flywheel or drive plate for wear and damage.	To do this rotate crankshaft in direction of engine rotation. Counterholder If damage is present, ↓ Replace flywheel or drive plate.	Fig 1

14	Install in the reverse order.
