	Remove/install
1	Remove camshaft positioners and then remove the attached hold-down tool together with the holding devices.		AR05.20-P-7204MRD
2	Mark assembly position of the intake camshaft (2) and exhaust camshaft (1) at the cylinder head.	Do not mix up assembly position of the intake camshaft (2) and exhaust camshaft (1). Engine damage could occur otherwise.
3	Remove hold-down tools of the intake camshaft (2) and exhaust camshaft (1).	Bolt for camshaft hold-down tool	*BA05.20-P-1001-02K
4	Remove intake camshaft (2).
	Specified engine oils (service) - Overview	Wet roller-type rocker arms and camshaft bearing points with engine oil. Insert intake camshaft (2) so that the cams at cylinder 1 point upward at an angle. Otherwise, the intake camshaft (2) or exhaust camshaft (1) will be damaged. Observe markings.	BB00.40-P-0223-02A
5	Remove exhaust camshaft (1).
	Specified engine oils (service) - Overview		BB00.40-P-0223-02A
		Wet roller-type rocker arms, the vacuum pump drive, and the camshaft bearing points with engine oil. Insert exhaust camshaft (1) so that the cams at cylinder 1 point upward at an angle. Otherwise, the intake camshaft (2) or exhaust camshaft (1) will be damaged. Observe markings.
	Check
6	Check intake camshaft (2) and exhaust camshaft (1) for condition and wear. General information on checking camshafts and bearing points of camshafts	If there is a problem, ↓ Replace intake camshaft (2) or exhaust camshaft (1).	AH05.20-P-1000-09SZ
7	Check diameters of the camshaft bearing journals for wear.	Diameter of camshaft fitted bearing journal If the wear limit is reached, ↓ Replace intake camshaft (2) or exhaust camshaft (1).	*BE05.20-P-1002-03E
8	Install in the reverse order.
