Remove/install front SAM control unit - AR54.21-P-1254NKB

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Connect Star Diagnosis and perform initial startup of SAM control unit (N10) When installing new SAM control unit (N10).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from electronic ignition lock control unit    
3 Remove left instrument panel side trim (6) MODEL 117, 156, 176  
4 Remove cover from left front footwell MODEL 156 AR68.10-P-1500NKX

5 Remove driver kneebag MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246
with CODE 294 (Kneebag)

6 Remove left front door sill   AR68.30-P-4100NKB
7 Remove bolt (5) from bracket (2)    
8 Disconnect electrical connector (1) MODEL 156, 176, 242, 246  
9 Unhook wiring harness (4) from bracket (3.2)    
10 Remove bracket (2) from guide (arrow A) downwards    
11 Remove SAM control unit (N10) far enough from carrier (3) to gain access to electrical connections at rear of SAM control unit (N10) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Position SAM control unit (N10) with guides (arrows B) onto carrier (3), slide up to end stop and insert into bracket (3.1).  
12 Separate electrical connections on SAM control unit (N10) and remove SAM control unit (N10) IMPORTANT The electrical connections are coded and cannot be interchanged.  
13 Install in the reverse order
