Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. 	Remove/install
1	Disconnect ground line (1) from on-board electrical system battery (G1)		AR54.10-P-0003NKB
2	Remove positive terminal cover (5)
3.1	Remove starter series relay (K92)	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 246 with CODE 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector) MODEL 242 with ENGINE 270 with CODE 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector)

3.2	Slacken nut (8) and remove positive line (3) from on-board electrical system battery (G1)	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 246 without CODE 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector) MODEL 242 with ENGINE 270 without CODE 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector)
		Nut, battery cable to negative terminal/positive terminal of on-board electrical system battery	*BA54.10-P-1007-01I
4	Remove vent hose (2) from on-board electrical system battery (G1)	Make sure that the vent hose (2) is routed without kinks.
5	Move positive line (3) out of battery box in direction of arrow (arrow A) and place to one side
6	Move vent hose (2) out of battery box in direction of arrow (arrow A) and place to one side
7	Remove cover (4) of on-board electrical system battery (G1)	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 246 MODEL 242 with ENGINE 270 The cover (4) must engage in the guides (arrow B and C).
8	Unscrew bolt (6) and remove bracket (7) of on-board electrical system battery (G1)	Before tightening the bolt (6), push the on-board electrical system battery (G1) as far as it will go in the direction of the arrow (arrow D).

9	Remove on-board electrical system battery (G1)
10	Install in the reverse order
