| 1 | Open Vario roof fully | ||
| 2 | Move left or right seat (1) upward and toward front | ||
| 3 | Move backrest to front | ||
| 4 | Remove safety clip (2), remove belt end fitting (3), and extend seat belt (4) on seat (1) | ||

| 6 | Move seat (1) to rear | ||
| 7 | Move backrest to rear | ||
| 8 | Remove screws/bolts (6) from guide rails | *BA91.10-P-1007-01A | |
| 9 | Disconnect battery ground line | AR54.10-P-0003W | |
| 10 | Separate frame floor assembly/driver seat airbag connecting point (X28/29), or frame floor assembly/front passenger seat airbag connecting point (X28/30) at bottom of seat (1) | ||
| 11 | Separate driver seat connector block (X55/3), or front passenger seat connector block (X55/4) at bottom of seat (1) | ||
| 12 | Disconnect electrical connector (7) from driver seat control unit (N32/1) or front passenger seat control unit (N32/2) | On vehicles with code (275) Memory package for electrically adjustable front seats | |
| 13 | Remove seat (1) from vehicle | Carefully remove seat (1) from vehicle. Otherwise, components in vehicle interior will be damaged. |
