| 2 | Release pressure in cooling system | ||
| 3 | Pinch off coolant hoses (4, 5) with pinch-off pliers | Figure | |
| 4 | Remove coolant hoses (4, 5) from connection fittings (6) at air conditioner housing (A32) | ||
| 5 | Seal connection fitting (6) on air conditioner housing (A32) | The connection fittings (6) must be sealed upon removing the air conditioner housing (A32). Otherwise the vehicle interior may be soiled by escaping coolant. |

| 8 | Disconnect electrical connector (10) | ||
| 9 | Disconnect electrical connectors (12, 14) | ||
| 10 | Disconnect Electrical connection (13) | ||
| 11 | Disconnect electrical connections (8) | ||
| 12 | Expose electrical wiring harnesses (9) of instrument panel support (7) | ||
| 13 | Unscrew nuts (17, 19) | ||
| 14 | Remove screw/bolts (16, 18, 20) | *BA68.10-P-1001-02D | |

| 15 | Remove instrument panel support (7) | ||
| 16 | Remove water drain hoses (21, 22) from air conditioner housing (A32) | ||
| 17 | Remove air conditioner housing (A32) | Carefully lift out air conditioner housing (A32). Otherwise components in the vehicle interior may be damaged. Use aid of helper. |
