DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant. Do not perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained. AS83.00-Z-0001-01A

REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 04 82 00 Air conditioning service unit   WS83.00-P-0031B
IMPORTANT Perform refrigerant analysis using an analysis device integrated into the air conditioning service unit or an external analysis device with data transfer to the air conditioning service unit.
IMPORTANT After a positive gas analysis: Extraction of refrigerant from air conditioning system into internal air conditioning service unit container.
IMPORTANT After a negative gas analysis: Perform the gas analysis up to three times. After a third negative gas analysis, verify the analysis device in accordance with the operator's manual. If the analysis device is functional and the gas analysis negative, extract the refrigerant from the A/C system and store it in a recycling vessel.

2 Connect filler connection (2) of air conditioning service unit to high pressure line (1) and filler connection (3) of air conditioning service unit to low-pressure line (4)
3 Suction off refrigerant IMPORTANT Note down extracted quantity of refrigerant oil in refrigerant circuit.
IMPORTANT When operating the air conditioning service unit, proceed in accordance with the operator's manual from the manufacturer.

7 Add new compressor oil to the refrigerant circuit according to the quantity of refrigerant oil noted during extraction NOTES
Use approved compressor oil only.
If it is proven that a different compressor oil has been used, we will refuse to reimburse costs within the warranty and goodwill period. Daimler AG reserves the right to perform reexaminations.
NOTES
Correct quantity of refrigerant oil in refrigerant circuit.
In the event of an incorrectly measured quantity of refrigerant oil, the refrigerant compressor may be damaged.
Depending on the repair case, the quantity of refrigerant oil must be corrected accordingly:
↓

Correct oil level in air conditioning system if system is suddenly drained AR83.30-P-5253NKB
Correct oil level in air conditioning system after replacing parts AR83.30-P-5252NKB
Correct oil level in air conditioning system in the event of repair or slow refrigerant loss AR83.30-P-5251NKB
