Commission Dual-Clutch Transmission After Repair - AR27.10-P-0008RQ

Transmission 700.40 

  Initial startup     
1 Connect vehicle diagnosis system, clear fault memory.    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   Transmission 700.40 in model 190 AD00.00-P-2000-04B
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   Transmission 700.40 in model 197 AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Check software release of dual-clutch transmission control unit and engine electronics control unit using XENTRY on-line, and update if necessary.    
3 Commission dual-clutch transmission control unit and engine electronics control unit.    
4 Perform variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN). IMPORTANT Variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN) must be carried out for the following control units: Double clutch transmission control unit Engine electronics control unit.  
5 Perform normalization and transmission adaptation. IMPORTANT The work procedure for normalization and adaptation can be found in the dual clutch transmission control unit.
In the Control units menu, select under: Adaptation → Teach-in procedures → Normalization and adaptation, and work through the entire work procedure.
 
6 Flush valves of hydraulic control of transmission. IMPORTANT The work procedure for flushing the valves can be found in the dual clutch transmission control unit.
In the Control units menu under: Actuation → Flush valves.
 
    IMPORTANT Repeat flushing procedure 5 times.
Perform flushing procedure at transmission oil temperature of 80°C.
 
7 Perform park pawl test. IMPORTANT The work procedure for the park pawl test can be found in the dual clutch transmission control unit.
In the Control units menu under: Actuation → Park pawl test.
 
8 Read out fault memory of dual-clutch transmission control unit, and document and clear all faults.    
9 Conduct a road test. IMPORTANT At least Drive 50 km.
Shift through all transmission modes (C, S, S+, M)
Drive equal distances in built-up areas, rural
areas and on freeways.
 
10 Flush valves of hydraulic control of transmission again. IMPORTANT The work procedure for flushing the valves can be found in the dual clutch transmission control unit.
In the Control units menu under: Actuation → Flush valves.
 
    IMPORTANT Repeat flushing procedure 5 times.
Perform flushing procedure at transmission oil temperature of 80°C.
 
11 Replace oil of hydraulic circuit.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP27.00-P-2706RQ 
12 Perform park pawl test again. IMPORTANT The work procedure for the park pawl test can be found in the dual clutch transmission control unit.
In the Control units menu under: Actuation → Park pawl test.
 
13 Perform workshop test. IMPORTANT The work procedure for the workshop test can be found in the dual clutch transmission control unit.
In the Control units menu under: Actuation → Workshop test.
 
14 Read out EEPROM data. IMPORTANT The work procedure for reading out the EEPROM data can be found in the dual clutch transmission control unit.
In the Control units menu under: Actuation → Teach-in procedures → Display of EEPROM values.
 
15 Attach log files from workshop test, EEPROM data and park pawl test, as well as PDFs from initial quick test and transmission control unit log to TIPS case.
