| 4 | Unfasten nuts (1) | ||
| 5 | Pull rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) together with bracket towards trunk and remove upwards | ||
| 6 | Unscrew nut (2) | ||
| 7 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors (4 and 5) | The circuit 30 electrical connectors (4 and 5) must be disconnected first during removal and connected last during installation. Short circuits can otherwise occur. |

| 8 | Release and disconnect all other electrical connectors at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and unclip all fuse holders (3) | ||
| 9 | Remove rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) | ||
| 10 | Compare equipment of new rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) with that of old rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2); adapt equipment if necessary | When replacing the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2). | |
