| 1 | Perform commissioning of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2). | When replacing the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2). | |

| 2 | Loosen side trims in rear passenger compartment and place to one side. | AR68.30-P-4780RGR | |
| 3 | Unclip expansion rivets (2). | Fig 2 | |
| 4 | Remove covers (3). | ||
| 5 | Remove trim of front soft top compartment (1). | ||
| 6 | Remove screws (4 and 5) and take off cover (6). | ||
| 7 | Unscrew nut (12). | ||
| 8 | Remove screw/bolt (11). | ||
| 9 | Lift up rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) until the electrical connectors are accessible. | Do not kink or stretch the electric lines. Otherwise this can lead to damage to the lines and can impair their function. |

| 10 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors (8 and 9) by pressing back the shackles using an extraction hook (arrows B). | Make sure that the contact blades in the plug housing of the electrical connectors (8 and 9) make contact at the very front. Otherwise, malfunctions may occur. Disconnect electrical connectors (8 and 9) first during removal and last during installation. Short circuits can otherwise occur. |

| 11 | Release and disconnect all other electrical connectors on the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2). | ||
| 12 | Unclip fuse holder (7) and remove from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2). | ||
| 13 | Remove rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2). | ||
| 14 | Install in the reverse order. |
