Settings On Workshop Level, Function - GF54.30-P-2020RR

Function requirements in general 

IMPORTANT The electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) sends the circuit status of circuit 15 to the instrument cluster (A1) via suspension CAN 1 (CAN E1), the AMG gateway control unit (N93/9) and the user interface CAN (CAN HMI).

Workshop level adjustments, general 

The workshop level is used by technicians in the workshop for reading out vehicle and service data and provides assistance with carrying out the service.

The "Workshop level" menu is activated as follows as of 01.12.2018:

The instrument cluster switches to workshop level. Via the instrument cluster finger navigation pad, it is possible to scroll between the respective menus and submenus or in different lists. The selection is made by pressing the instrument cluster finger navigation pad.

The "Workshop level" menu is activated as follows up to 30.11.2018:

The indicator in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster switches to the menu "Workshop level". By pressing the scroll forward/back button (S110s1) in the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110), it is possible to change between the respective menus and submenus or to scroll through various lists. Selection is then made by pressing the "OK" button.

The request is read in by the steering wheel electronics (N135) and sent as of 01.12.2018 via the steering wheel CAN (CAN LR) or up to 30.11.2018 via the steering LIN (LIN E1) to the steering column tube module control unit (N80). The steering column tube module control unit sends the signals of the buttons in the multifunction steering wheel button group to the instrument cluster as of 01.12.2018 via the AMG FlexRay (Flex AMG) or up to 30.11.2018 via suspension CAN 1 (CAN E1), the AMG Gateway control unit and the user interface CAN.

The following menus are accessible:

"Vehicle data" menu 

The following data can be called up in the vehicle data menu:

"Dynamometer test" menu 

Activating the dynamometer test prevents faults being entered in the Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4) during the brake test on the roller dynamometer.

The following settings can be selected in the dynamometer menu:

IMPORTANT If the workshop menu is exited and the "Dynamometer test" menu was not deactivated prior to this, it will be automatically called up at the next driving cycle.

"Change brake pad" menu 

In the "Change brake pad" menu, the following settings can be selected:
