Disassemble/Assemble Multifunction Steering Wheel - AR82.90-P-0010RG

DISASSEMBLINGASSEMBLING Disassemble/assemble     
1.1 Remove multifunction steering wheel (1). When replacing multifunction steering wheel (1). AR46.10-P-0100RG
1.2 Remove airbag from multifunction steering wheel (1)- When replacing detachable parts on multifunction steering wheel (1). AR91.60-P-0660EL
2 Disconnect plug contact (2) from horn contact plate (S4/2).    
3 Unscrew screws (3) and remove horn contact plate (S4/2) from multifunction steering wheel (1). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, mounting plate/contact plate to steering wheel *BA46.10-P-1006-02A 
4 Unscrew screws (5) and unclip cover (4) from multifunction steering wheel (1). SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 1
5 Disconnect electrical connectors (6) from steering wheel electronics (N135) and remove cover (4) from multifunction steering wheel (1).    
6 Unscrew screws (9) and remove instrument cluster multifunction steering wheel button group (S163/1) and head unit multifunction steering wheel button group (S163/2) from cover (4). When replacing cover (4), instrument cluster multifunction steering wheel button group (S163/1) or head unit multifunction steering wheel button group (S163/2).  
7 Disconnect electrical connectors (7) from steering wheel electronics (N135).    
8 Unscrew screws (10) and remove steering wheel downshift button (S110/1) and steering wheel upshift button (S111/1) from multifunction steering wheel (1).    
9 Unscrew screws (11) and unclip cover (12) from multifunction steering wheel (1). SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 1
10 Unscrew screws (13) and remove cover (14) from multifunction steering wheel (1).    
11 Fold up locks (15) at side on lower multifunction steering wheel button group electric controller unit (A74/2) and remove electric lines (17) from lower multifunction steering wheel button group electric controller unit (A74/2).    
12 Disconnect plug contact (16) from lower multifunction steering wheel button group electric controller unit (A74/2).    
13 Unscrew screws (18) and remove lower multifunction steering wheel button group 1 (S163/3) and lower multifunction steering wheel button group 2 (S163/4) from multifunction steering wheel (1).    
14 Remove steering wheel electronics (N135) from multifunction steering wheel (1).    
15 Assemble in the reverse order.    
16 Connect vehicle diagnosis system and perform commissioning. Only when replacing lower multifunction steering wheel button group electric controller unit (A74/2).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
17 Disconnect vehicle diagnosis system. Only when replacing lower multifunction steering wheel button group electric controller unit (A74/2).
