Manual Interior Lights Control, Function - GF82.20-P-2000RR
Model 190
Function requirements, general
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
Manual interior lights control in general
The manual interior lights control enables the interior illumination reading lamp vanity mirror light, and glove compartment illumination to be switched on and off.
The overhead control panel electronics are supplied with power through the front SAM control unit When the switch is operated at the overhead control panel electronics the voltage is switched through to the relevant component and the component is switched on or off
The manual interior lights control function encompasses the following subfunctions:
- Function sequence for interior illumination
- Function sequence for reading illumination
- Function sequence for vanity mirror light
- Function sequence for glove compartment illumination
Function sequence for interior illumination
The following components of the interior illumination are manually switched on or off with dimming by operating the dome lamp switch:
- Left interior lamp
- •Right interior lamp
In model 190 3 the following component of the interior lighting can be manually switched on or off with dimming by operating the rear dome lamp switch:
- Load compartment lamp
The front SAM control unit directly actuates the following footwell illumination components in addition to the interior illumination:
- Right footwell lamp
- •Left footwell lamp
Function sequence for reading illumination
The reading illumination serves to illuminate a defined area in front of the user, without having a distracting dazzling effect on the driver.
The following reading lights components can be switched on or off manually by operating the reading lamp switches in the inside rearview mirror:
- Left reading lamp via the left reading lamp switch
- •Right reading lamp via the right reading lamp switch
Function sequence for vanity mirror light
The following vanity mirror light components can be manually switched on or off by opening or closing the corresponding mirror cover:
To preserve the on-board electrical system battery (G1) the power supply is interrupted t = 30 min following circuit 15 OFF.
- Left sun visor mirror lamp via the left mirror lamp switch
- Right sun visor mirror lamp via the right mirror lamp switch
The power supply for the left sun visor mirror lamp and the right sun visor mirror lamp is switched off by folding the mirror cover closed or when the vehicle is locked using the central locking system (CL [ZV]).
Additional function requirements for glove compartment illumination
- Circuit 15R ON
The electronic ignition lock control unit sends the status of circuit 15 to the front SAM control unit via the interior CAN.
Function sequence for glove compartment illumination
The glove compartment lamp switch is supplied with voltage by the front SAM control unit. Voltage is switched through to the glove compartment lamp by opening the glove compartment door.
