  5. Remove the rear fender, trunk lid, rear light units and seal.
  6. Drill rivet holes in the new wheel well parts (1, 2, 3 and 4) with drill bit ø 6.7 mm (areas A, B and D).

IMPORTANT Transfer present positions for rivet connections from vehicle to new part. In the case of new part to new part connections, adapt them and drill through together.

  7. Drill rivet holes in the new wheel well parts (1, 2, 3 and 4) with drill bit ø 6, 0 mm (areas C, E, F and G).

IMPORTANT Transfer present positions for rivet connections from vehicle to new part. In the case of new part to new part connections, adapt these and prepare together.

  8. Remove new wheel well parts (1, 2, 3 and 4).
  9. Deburr rivet holes on new wheel well parts (1, 2, 3 and 4) and body on both sides.

IMPORTANT Use blind rivet 6.5x12.5 (Klemmbereich 2 mm up to 5 mm, draw-off strength min. 19 kN).

  15. Rivet the new wheel well parts (1, 2, 3 and 4) with the rivet press tool and flow-form rivet (areas C1 , E1 , F1 and G1 ).

IMPORTANT Use flow-form rivet structure with clamping range 4 mm to 5.15 mm (S3).

  16. Tack weld rear wheel well (4) with welder (SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD ) (area H).

IMPORTANT When MIG welding (SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD ) prepare welds by grinding down to bare metal with stainless steel brush. Weld seams must  be tack welded at start, end and every approx. 4 cm.

  17. Weld rear wheel well (4) with welder (SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD ) (area H).

IMPORTANT When MIG welding (SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD ), prepare welds by grinding down to bare metal with stainless steel brush directly before welding. Tack weld seams at start, end and approx. every 4 cm. Weld seam gap should not be greater than 1 mm; if required, create a pre-seam.
