General
Depending on the situation, various subsystems intervene in order to secure the vehicle after stopping. They make a contribution to driver comfort and vehicle safety.
Functions
Standstill check
The standstill control (SSC) causes the vehicle to assume a safe standstill state. For this purpose, the SSC monitors the braking driver assistance systems until the vehicle has reached a safe standstill.
Hill Start Assist
The Hill Start Assist holds the vehicle stationary for a short time when driving off on inclines without the driver having to operate the brake.
HOLD function
The HOLD function holds the vehicle stationary without the driver having to operate the brake. The function assists the driver during waiting times in traffic.
