| 2 | Remove cover above brake fluid reservoir (1) | MODEL 197 with CODE B14 (Carbon-fiber engine compartment cover) |

| 3 | Clean area surrounding brake fluid reservoir (1) | Before opening the brake system the area around the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Only use clean, lint free rags and cleaner free of mineral oil. Do not use any compressed-air for cleaning when the brake system is open. Even the smallest particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the brake system. |

| 4 | Unscrew cap (3) of brake fluid reservoir (1) | ||
| 5 | Suction off brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir (1) | ||
| 6 | Disconnect electrical line (2) from brake fluid level switch (S11) | ||
| 7 | Remove screw/bolt (5) | *BA42.10-P-1001-05F | |
| 8 | Detach brake fluid reservoir (1) from master brake cylinder (4) | Seal connections on master brake cylinder (4). If any foreign bodies enter they may cause damage to the master brake cylinder. |
