If new parts are installed during body repair in the area of the panoramic roof frame body flange, mask bonding surfaces before painting.

Ensure that adhesive material is applied only to present adhesive beads, which have been cut down, or to the original factory primer or repair primer approved by Daimler.

Prepare body flange for panoramic roof
- Cut off residual adhesive material on body flange down to a height of approx. 1 mm with suitable scraper.
- Remove glue residues cut off from body flange.
- Repair paint damage on body flange.
Use only primers and paints approved by Daimler AG: https://portal.aftersales.i.daimler.com
- Apply primer in gluing area if glue residues are not present.
Observe processing notes for primer. Flash-off time min. 10 minutes.
Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease when gluing in the panoramic roof.
