Notes On Magic Sky Control - AH77.00-P-0001-01A
Model All (CAR)
General
The MAGIC SKY CONTROL is actuated via a control unit. This control unit includes a DC/torque converter. This uses a 12V-on-board electrical system voltage in operating condition to generate a high AC voltage of 120V.
Marking
The control unit is marked with a yellow warning sticker on the high-voltage output side. Electrical lines for high voltages are designated by a warning color (orange).
Measures for activities
Before starting work on the high-voltage parts of the MAGIC SKY CONTROL, perform following measures to ensure that the system is not under power
Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery. On vehicles with backup battery (ECO start/stop function), check whether power is present between c. 30 and vehicle ground.
Detach 12V connector from MAGIC SKY CONTROL control unit.
Secure against reconnecting by attaching an HV sticker (451 589 08 63 00). Cut sticker off of roll and attach over connection surface of 12V connector.
Rules of conduct
- When the MAGIC SKY CONTROL roof is activated or switched to transparent, do not touch connector, wiring harness coupling or control unit.
- If the MAGIC SKY CONTROL roof remains transparent after switch-off or remains switched on, a malfunction is present. Do not perform any measurements on system. Work on system only after ensuring that power to system has been disconnected.
- Do not open housing on control unit.
- If the control unit housing is defective, the transparency function should no longer be used.
- If the high voltage wiring harness (orange) or a connection in the high voltage wiring harness is damaged, always replace complete roof front section of system.
- Never insert objects into contacts, control unit housing or high voltage wiring harness.
- Keep fluids away from high voltage parts.
