Checking Accident Vehicles And Vehicles Possibly Damaged In An Accident - AR40.30-P-0400GZ

INSPECT Check     
1 Drive the vehicle onto the measuring station and secure using the parking brake IMPORTANT The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.  
2 Perform preparations for distance and comparative measurements Model 164 AR40.30-P-0401GZ
    Model 166, 292 AR40.30-P-0401GQ 
3 Carry out distance and comparison measurements on front and rear axles IMPORTANT These measurements determine whether i is necessary to replace chassis components or repair the body on the straightening bench. Use either the reference value (difference between left and right) or the distance for assessment.
IMPORTANT If there is any visible damage (e.g. crack formation, deformation) on the front axle or rear axle carrier, the damaged parts must be replaced.

4 Repair vehicle Where damage has been detected.  
5 Perform Wheel alignment check If the vehicle has been repaired.
