| 3 | Put down COMAND controller unit (1) with electrical lines connected | Place COMAND controller unit (1) on a clean dry cloth. Otherwise, components in the instrument panel or center console can be damaged. |

| 4 | Disconnect electrical connector (5) from COMAND controller unit (1) | ||
| 5 | Cut through electrical line (6) of WLAN antenna (4) on both ends as near as possible to the instrument panel wiring harness | ||
| 6 | Remove cut off section of the factory installed electrical line (6) | ||
| 7 | Unclip and remove WLAN antenna (4) from instrument panel crossmember (3) | ||
| Install | |||
| 8 | Clip in new WLAN antenna (4) at instrument panel crossmember (3) | ||
| 9 | Route electrical line (6) of new WLAN antenna (4) along instrument panel wiring harness to the device installation slot of the COMAND controller unit (1) and fix in place with cable ties | ||
| 10 | Connect electrical connector (5) to bushing of COMAND controller unit (1) | ||
