Remove/Install Bluetooth Antenna - AR82.62-P-8980GQA

NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
REMOVING Remove     
1 Switch on ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)    
2 Remove left side air vent (5)   AR68.10-P-1100GQ
3 Remove cover (4)    
4 Remove cover below dashboard on left (7)   AR68.10-P-1500GQ
5 Remove COMAND controller unit (1) until electrical connector (2) at back of the device is accessible   AR82.60-P-7502GQ 
6 Disconnect electrical connection (2)    
7 Cut through electrical line (3) of Bluetooth antenna (6) at both ends as close as possible to the instrument panel wiring harness IMPORTANT The factory installed electrical line (3) is firmly integrated in the instrument panel wiring harness. Therefore, the defective Bluetooth antenna (6) must be detached for replacement. The factory installed electrical line (3) remains in the vehicle.  
8 Remove cut off section of the factory installed electrical line (3)    
9 Unclip and remove Bluetooth antenna (6) from instrument panel crossmember    
INSTALLING Install     
10 Clip in new Bluetooth antenna (6) at instrument panel crossmember    
11 Route electrical line (3) of new Bluetooth antenna (7) along instrument panel wiring harness to device installation slot of COMAND controller unit (1) and fix in place with cable ties    
12 Connect electrical connector (2) of electrical line (3) to bushing of COMAND controller unit (1)    
13 Install COMAND controller unit (1)   AR82.60-P-7502GQ 
14 Install cover below instrument panel (7) at left   AR68.10-P-1500GQ
15 Install cover (4)    
16 Install left side air vent (5)   AR68.10-P-1100GQ
