Remove/Install Rear Bumper - AR88.20-P-2200GQ

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove both taillamps Model 292 AR82.10-P-4905GQC
Model 166.0 AR82.10-P-4905GQ
2 Detach fender liner in left rear and right rear fender in area of rear bumper (3)   AR88.10-P-1400GQ 
3 Unclip retaining clips (5) on trim piece (6) in area of rear bumper (3) Model 292
IMPORTANT Perform work on left and right side analogously.
 
4.1 Remove bolts (1) Model 166.0
IMPORTANT Perform work on left and right side analogously.
 
4.2 Unscrew screw/bolt (7) Model 292
IMPORTANT Perform work on left and right side analogously.
 
5 Remove expansion rivets (2) IMPORTANT Perform work on left and right side analogously.  
6 Unclip rear bumper (3) on retaining strip IMPORTANT Perform work on left and right side analogously.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that rear bumper (3) is installed correctly on retaining strips.
 
7 Remove screws (4)    
8.1 Remove rear bumper (3) toward rear with aid of helper Model 166.0
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that rear bumper (3) is installed correctly on retaining strips.
 
8.2 Remove rear bumper (3) toward rear with aid of helper Model 292
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that rear bumper (3) is installed correctly on retaining strips.
 
9 Disconnect electrical connectors The number of electrical connectors varies according to vehicle equipment.  
10 Install in the reverse order    
11 Adjust rear bumper (3) Gap dimensions on hoods, doors and lids AR60.00-P-0700-01GQ
    Gap dimension *BE60.00-P-1003-01Z 
    SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge Figure
TEST AND ADJUSTMENT VALUES FOR GAP DIMENSIONS
