  Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid. Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Extract oil from hydraulic pump expansion reservoir for Active Roll Stabilization (7) SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Fig 2
2 Detach poly-V belt (3) from hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8)   AR13.20-P-0001MLJ
3 Detach charge air cooler vent line (4) from bracket (2) of hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8)    
4 Unclip electrical connection from throttle valve of hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8), from bracket (2) and set aside    
5 Remove feed line for Active Roll Stabilization (5) from cylinder head cover and front cover    
6 Detach feed line for hydraulic pump of Active Roll Stabilization (5) from hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8) and set aside TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, hydraulic line to hydraulic pump *BA32.00-P-1006-01A 
7 Seal openings with stop plugs SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Figure
8 Detach pressure line (6) from hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8) to valve unit on hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8) IMPORTANT Don not detach pressure line (6) before 10 minutes ave elapsed since switching off the engine, as the roll stabilization system is only then fully depressurized.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Always replace the sealing ring.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, hydraulic line to hydraulic pump

9 Seal openings with stop plugs SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Figure
10 Remove bolts (1) of the hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8) from the timing case cover and crankcase, then remove the hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8) upwards TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, hydraulic pump bracket to timing case *BA32.00-P-1011-01A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, hydraulic pump to bracket for hydraulic pump *BA32.00-P-1010-01A 
11 Detach bracket (2) from hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8) IMPORTANT When replacing the hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, hydraulic pump to coolant pump

12 Detach belt pulley (9) from hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8) IMPORTANT When replacing the hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, belt pulley to hydraulic pump
*BA32.00-P-1004-01A 
13 Install in the reverse order    
14 Fill hydraulic pump expansion reservoir for Active Roll Stabilization (7) and vent ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM   AR32.34-P-0021GQ 
15 Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.
Run an engine test, while doing so check the hydraulic pump for Active Roll Stabilization (8) for proper operation and leaktightness
Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
