Remove/Install Charge Air Manifold - AR09.41-P-1310GQC

ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 166, 251, 292

	Remove/install
1	Remove partition wall between wheel wells	Engine 276.8 in model 251	AR62.30-P-2400RT
2	Remove upper engine cover
3	Remove right air filter housing (1) and left air filter housing (2)		AR09.10-P-1150GQC
4	Remove soundproofing over the left and right rail
5	Detach ME-SFI [ME] control unit (15) and place to one side with connected lines		AR07.08-P-7008GQC
6	Disconnect electrical connection from pressure sensor downstream of throttle valve (16)
7	Detach check valve partial load ventilation (4) on the charge air distributor (3)	Replace seal.
8	Detach engine wiring harness for removal of cylinder head cover	Engine 276.8 in model 166, 292	AR01.00-P-2410-04GQC
		Engine 276.8 in model 251	AR01.00-P-2410-02RTC
9	Unfasten clamp (5) on throttle valve actuator (13)
10	Detach electrical connection (14) from throttle valve actuator (13)
11	Remove screw/bolts (7) and disconnect charge air distributor (3) from throttle valve actuator (13)	Replace seals (8). Tighten screw/bolts (7) cross-wise from inside to outside. Screw/bolt, charge air distributor to intermediate flange	*BA09.41-P-1001-01R
12	Detach throttle valve actuator (13) from charge air distributor (3)	When replacing the charge air distributor (3)	AR07.51-P-1401GQC
13	Remove right connecting flange (10) or left connecting flange (11)	If necessary Replace seals between cylinder head and the right connecting flange (10) or the left connecting flange (11). Tighten screw/bolts (9) from the inside to the outside. Screw/bolt, intermediate flange to cylinder head	*BA09.41-P-1004-01R
14	Remove sealant residues on both sides on the right connecting flange (10), on the left connecting flange (11) and on the cylinder head	If necessary The sealing surfaces on the right connecting flange (10), on the left connecting flange (11) and on the cylinder head must not have any foreign objects, scratches or grooves. Non-observance leads to leakage between the right connecting flange (10) and on the left connecting flange (11) and cylinder head, or charge air distributor (3).
15	Install in the reverse order
16	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Carry out an engine test run, checking the engine for proper operation and leaktightness	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
