MODEL ALL (CAR)
Driver assistance systems use ultrasound and radar sensors as well as cameras to recognize the area around the vehicle and interpret it based on this information. They support the driver in various driving situations thereby enhancing the level of ride comfort. Driver assistance systems also contribute to more safety. They support the driver in situations in which fast and safe handling is required.
Driver assistance systems intervene in the electronic drive control (e.g. by accelerating, braking) and through control of the vehicle signal devices. They warn the driver just before or during the critical situations.
Driver assistance systems are designed such that responsibility lies with the driver, he is able at all times to "override" autonomous interventions.
