	Remove/install
1	Remove right air filter housing		AR09.10-P-1152MNG
2	Release and disconnect electrical connector (6) of ignition coil, cylinders 1+2 (T4)
3	Remove bolts (7)	Bolt, ignition coil to cylinder head cover	*BA15.10-P-1001-04D
4	Detach ignition coil for cylinders 1+2 (T4) upward and remove	The ignition coil for cylinders 1+2 (T4) and the spark plug connectors form a single unit and can be removed only together.
5	Unclip engine wiring harness (5) over vacuum hose (2) and place to one side
6	Remove bolt (1)	M6 X 1	*BA00.10-P-1002-04A
7	Remove vacuum hose (2) from vacuum pump and seal openings using suitable protective covers	Set of protective caps	Fig 1>
8	Release and disconnect electrical connector (3) of ignition coil, cylinders 3+4 (T4/1)
9	Remove screws (4)	Bolt, ignition coil to cylinder head cover	*BA15.10-P-1001-04D
10	Detach ignition coil for cylinders 3+4 (T4/1) upward and remove	The ignition coil for cylinders 3+4 (T4/1) and the spark plug connector form a single unit and can be removed only together.
11	Check the ignition coil for cylinders 1+2 (T4) and check the ignition coil for cylinders 3+4 (T4/1) for damage	If a problem arises ↓ Replace ignition coil for cylinders 1+2 (T4) and replace ignition coil for cylinders 3+4 (T4/1).
12	Discharge approx. Apply about 1 g of spark plug connector grease to the spark plug connector	Apply spark plug connector grease to reduce pull-off and attachment forces Spark plug connectors will otherwise be damaged during next removal.

13	Install in the reverse order
14	Read out and erase fault memory

15	Perform an engine test run and check engine for proper function
