1 Connect the diagnostic system, start XENTRY, and select the vehicle Model.

    NOTES Ensure that there is sufficient voltage supply to the vehicle electrical system during the entire work process.
Otherwise, if there is an undervoltage, damage to the control units can occur.
 
2 Select the control unit.    
3 Select the menu item "Control unit adjustments".    
4 Select the menu item "Support from User Help Desk".    
5 Select the menu item "Request control unit software".    
6 Save requested data on an external data storage device.    
7 Submit data request to the User Help Desk. IMPORTANT The control unit software is determined by the user help desk. A response file (Flash Support File) is created and transmitted accordingly.  
8 Unzip the response file (Flash Support File) and burn the data to a CD or save it to a USB removable storage device.    
9 Mark the CD or the USB removable storage device accordingly.    
10 Insert CD or the USB storage device. IMPORTANT To put control units in write mode, an unlocking code (key) is required for the respective control unit. If the regular processes are used, this is automatically requested from the central systems. In the offline fallback process, the user is requested by XENTRY to request the activation code by telephone from the Star Diagnosis User Help Desk. A detailed process description is stored in the INFO information system.  
11 Importing data.    
12 Eliminate the errors with the help of the current CD-DVD. In the event of a communication error between XENTRY and the control unit.
If the cause of the error cannot be eliminated,

inform the Star Diagnosis User Help Desk.
 
13 Carry out documentation in Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc).    
14 Carry out SCN coding of the control units. If specified by XENTRY.

15 Perform teach-in process. If specified by XENTRY.  
16 Read out and erase the fault memory.    
17 Disconnect the diagnostic system
