General telematics services function requirements 

General telematics services 

For convenient mobility planning in hybrid vehicles, the customer has the option of interrogating vehicle data and making settings via a vehicle-specific website, the "Vehicle Homepage". Position-dependent control and monitoring of the charging processes in particular are made possible by this. The "Vehicle Homepage" is made available by the service provider. The telematics services that can be performed via the "Vehicle Homepage" include the following functions, for example:

IMPORTANT A gradual expansion of the functional scope is planned.

The processing of the telematics services includes the following procedures:

Communication between vehicle and "Vehicle Homepage" via service provider 

As soon as the user has successfully called up the "Vehicle Homepage", he can exchange data with the vehicle (e.g.request information and carry out settings) via a mobile telephone connection secured by the service provider. The vehicle receives and sends the signals over the HERMES control unit and the emergency call system 1 antenna or the emergency call system 2 antenna (with code 362 (HERMES LTE)).

CAN communication between HERMES control unit and further vehicle components 

During data exchange concerning the charging processes, the HERMES control unit communicates with the powertrain control unit via the hybrid CAN.

In the case of pre-entry climate control, the HERMES control unit exchanges data via the following route:

The settings undertaken using the "Vehicle Homepage", for which visualization via the instrument cluster is relevant, are transmitted via the following route:
