Measure Absolute Angle At Front And Rear Propeller Shafts - AR41.10-P-0085-02LW

Model 205, 213, 238, 253

IMPORTANT Notes on measuring the drive shaft articulator angle   AH41.10-P-0002-01LF

Measurement of angle 2 at front half of propeller shaft

IMPORTANT All four angles should be measured in succession without interruption. An angle that has already been measured can be measured a second time if required. To do so, with the Measurement menu displayed, press the STEP button repeatedly until the display indicates Ready to measure the relevant angle.

  1. Clean contact surface of test adapter (3) of sensor (020a) at front half of propeller shaft (1).
  2. Position test adapter (3) vertically from below onto front half of propeller shaft (1) and align.
  3. Place sensor (020a) from above onto test adapter (3).

NOTES When each measurement is taken, the side of the sensor (020a) at which the spiral cable (020b) is connected must point in the direction of travel. False measurements can occur otherwise.

IMPORTANT The test adapter (3) must be aligned vertically with the spirit level. If the sensor (020a) is not positioned vertically from below, the fault message "Y-positional error - sensor??" appears. The measured angle cannot be saved.

  6. Clean contact surface of sensor (020a) at rear half of propeller shaft (2).
  7. Position sensor (020a) vertically from below on rear half of propeller shaft (2) and press on firmly.

NOTES When each measurement is taken, the side of the sensor (020a) at which the spiral cable (020b) is connected must point in the direction of travel. False measurements can occur otherwise.
