Tasks
The armrest heater control unit actuates the heater of the armrest in the front center console (with code 906 (Front armrest heater)) and in the rear center console (model 213.1 with code 907 (Rear armrest heater)).
The armrest heater control unit actuates the following heating elements:
- Front center console armrest heating element (R16/9) (model 213 (except 213.1) up to November 30, 2017, model 213.1 with code 906 (Front armrest heater))
- Rear center console armrest heater element (R16/10) (model 213.1 with code 907 (Rear armrest heater))
- Left front center console armrest heating element (R16/13) (model 213 (except 213.1) from December 1, 2017 with code 906 (Front armrest heater))
- Right front center console armrest heating element (R16/14) (model 213 (except 213.1) from December 1, 2017 with code 906 (Front armrest heater))
Location
The armrest heater control unit is located in behind the left paneling in the trunk.
The armrest heater control unit directly reads in the signal for the following temperature sensors for temperature monitoring:
- Left front center console armrest heating element temperature sensor (R16/9b1) (model 213 (except 213.1) up to November 30, 2017, model 213.1 with code 906 (Front armrest heater))
- Right front center console armrest heating element temperature sensor (R16/9b2) (model 213 (except 213.1) up to November 30, 2017, model 213.1 with code 906 (Front armrest heater))
- Rear center console armrest heating element temperature sensor (R16/10b1) (model 213.1 with code 907 (Rear armrest heater))
- Left front center console armrest heating element temperature sensor (R16/13b1) (model 213 (except 213.1) from December 1, 2017 with code 906 (Front armrest heater))
- Right front center console armrest heating element temperature sensor (R16/14b1) (model 213 (except 213.1) from December 1, 2017 with code 906 (Front armrest heater))
The rear SAM control unit (N10/8) transmits the corresponding requests via heater LIN (LIN B28) to the armrest heater control unit.
