Location
The stationary heater control unit is integrated in the stationary heater unit, which is located in the front section of the right wheel arch.
Task
The stationary heater control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
- Transmitting signals
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:
- Stationary heater temperature sensor (A6b1)
- Stationary heater glow plug/flame monitor unit (A6r4)
- Stationary heater radio remote control receiver (A6/1)
When a temperature of T = 125 °C is exceeded in the stationary heater unit, the stationary heater is switched off with subsequent overheating locking. The temperature in the heater unit is recorded by the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor signals are read in directly by the stationary heater control unit. The stationary heater control unit switches the stationary heater off.
Interior CAN
The signals are read in via the interior CAN. The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions.
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.

- Stationary heater combustion air blower (A6m2)
- Stationary heater glow plug/flame monitor unit
- Stationary heater fuel preheater heating element (A6r5) (with diesel engine)
- Stationary heater fuel shutoff valve (A6y2) (with diesel engine)
- Stationary heater radio remote control receiver
- Stationary heater switchover valve (Y16)
- Stationary heater fuel pump (Y23)
Transmitting signals
The stationary heater control unit sends signals via the following connection:
