	Remove
1	Move drivers seat toward rear
2	Disconnect battery ground line
			AR54.10-P-0003EW
3	Remove cover below left of instrument panel
4	Loosen left front edge guard in the area of the A-pillar cover and in the area of the door sill
5	Remove left door sill molding
6	Remove left front floor covering in footwell
7	Remove COMAND controller unit
			AR82.60-P-7502EW
8	Detach side paneling from trunk
			AR68.30-P-4800EC
		To do this, remove trunk floor trim and rear center section trim.
9	Remove handle strip from trunk lid
			AR88.50-P-5062EW
		Remove the trunk lid cover completely. The old trunk lid handle strip is replaced with the trunk lid handle strip contained in the scope of supply.
10	Remove side paneling on left side of rear compartment
			AR68.30-P-4780ED
	Install
11	Retrofit wiring harness and reversing camera (B84/3)		AN54.65-P-0030-03ECN
		Wiring harness repair kit, basic	Figure
		New passenger car wiring harness repair kit	Figure
12	Install remaining parts
13	Enter special equipment in online vehicle data card via the vehicle documentation system (VeDoc)	Add:  CODE 218 (Reversing camera)
14	Document retrofitted equipment in VeDoc	Attach "Reversing camera retrofitted as per AN54.65-P-0030ECN " note under field organization text for design group 54 and design group 88.
15	Connect diagnostic system and select vehicle using vehicle identification number (VIN)
			AD00.00-P-2000-04A
16	Perform variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN)	Variant coding must be carried out with XENTRY using the SCN for the following control unit: "Front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module" "Central gateway (CGW)" "COMAND controller unit"
17	Disconnect diagnostic system

	Check
18	Perform function test	See operator's manual for reversing camera (B84/3).
