| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Remove bracket for low-temperature circuit coolant expansion reservoir. | AR09.41-P-0017MNE | |
| 2 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors (1, 4). | ||
| 3 | Unclip retaining clip (7) from cylinder head cover and place wiring harness to one side. | ||
| 4 | Unclip bracket (5) at left crash plate. | ||
| 5 | Remove soundproofing at fuel high-pressure pump. | ||
| 6 | Remove screw/bolts (6). | *BA15.10-P-1001-04D | |
| 7 | Detach ignition coil for cylinders 5+6 (T4/2) upwards and remove. | ||
| 8 | Detach ignition coil for cylinders 7+8 (T4/3) upwards and remove. | ||
| 9 | Check ignition coil for cylinders 5+6 (T4/2) and ignition coil for cylinders 7+8 (T4/3) for damage. | If problems exist, ↓ Replace affected ignition coil (T4/2 and/or T4/3). |

| 10 | Discharge approx. Apply about 1 g of spark plug connector grease to the spark plug connector. | Apply spark plug connector grease to reduce pull-off and attachment forces Otherwise the spark plug connectors will be damaged upon renewed removal. |
