1 Remove the bottom engine compartment panelings INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only install lower engine compartment paneling after leak test. AR61.20-P-1105LWE
2 Remove upper engine cover INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only install upper engine cover after the leak test. AR01.10-P-2405MNE
3 Remove cap (1) IMPORTANT The coolant temperature should be approx. 40°C.
INSPECT Check
4 Check coolant level and antifreeze content of coolant in low-temperature circuit and correct if necessary FLUID SPECIFICATION Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-02LA
FLUID SPECIFICATION Coolant mixing ratio *BF20.00-P-1001-04A
5 Attach the tester cap (3) at the low-temperature circuit expansion tank (2) SPECIAL TOOL Test cap Fig 1
6 Connect pressure pump (4) at tester cap (3) SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 2
7 Apply compressed air to low-temperature circuit for 2 minutes at the test pressure NOTES Do not exceed the specified test pressure.
Damage can occur otherwise on the lowtemperature circuit.
IMPORTANT There should be no pressure loss within a period of 2 minutes.
Test pressure for pressure-testing the low-temperature circuit
*BE20.30-P-1001-01D
8 Perform a visual inspection on the assembly parts carrying coolant In the event of pressure loss.
IMPORTANT Check condition and coolant loss for all assembly part carrying coolant and connections and remove coolant loss if necessary using suitable measures.

9 Actuate pressure relief button on pressure pump (4) and relieve the pressure SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 2
10 Remove the tester cap (3) from the low-temperature circuit expansion tank (2) SPECIAL TOOL Test cap Fig 1
11 Check coolant level and antifreeze content coolant If necessary.
