Remove CROSSMEMBER - Ar64.20-P-1060-10LWT

  1. Coarsely cut support angle (6) and crossmember (7) (areas A).
  2. Remove section of crossmember (7) with support angle (6).

    IMPORTANT The following operations steps 3 to 6 are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side.

  3. Cut out spot welds on remaining section of crossmember (7) and expose remaining section of support angle (6) and cut out (areas C).

    IMPORTANT Joint spot welds on panels that are one behind the other must be cut out through two panel thicknesses.

  4. Perform cut on remaining section of crossmember (7) (area B).

    NOTES Do not cut too deeply.

    Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

  5. Remove remaining section of crossmember (7).
  6. Remove remaining section of support angle (6).

  7. Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

  8. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
  9. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
