The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

1. Mark position for drill holes on suspension strut tower (1).

   Dimensions: 

   d₁ = 22 mm (only on left side)

   d₂ = 9 mm (only on left side)

   E₁ = 17 mm

   E₂ = 12 mm

2. Transfer position of present holes in body to suspension strut tower (1) with drill hole finder (areas A and A₁ ).
3. Drill rivet holes in previously transferred position on suspension strut tower (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (areas A and A₁ ).
4. Install suspension strut tower (1), fit with straightening tool and fix in place.
5. Drill rivet holes on in previously transferred position on suspension strut tower (1) (areas B).
6. Drill rivet holes through present rivet holes in body (areas C).
7. Remove suspension strut tower (1).
8. Deburr rivet holes on suspension strut tower (1) and body on both sides.
9. Remove drilling chips.

10. Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.

    Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

    Riveting areas on left side of vehicle 

11. Install suspension strut tower (1) with straightening tool and fix in place.
12. Rivet suspension strut tower (1) with Ø 6.5x12.5 rivets (areas D).

13. Rivet suspension strut tower (1) with Ø 6.5x14.5 rivets (areas E).

    Left side of vehicle.

14. Rivet suspension strut tower (1) with Ø 6.4 M6 rivet (area F).

    Left side of vehicle.

15. Rivet suspension strut tower (1) with Ø 6.4 rivets (areas G).

16. Rivet suspension strut tower (1) with Ø 6.5x12.5 rivets (areas D).

17. Rivet suspension strut tower (1) with Ø 6.5x14.5 rivets (areas E).

18. Rivet suspension strut tower (1) with Ø 6.4 M6 rivet (area F).

20. Transfer positions of existing holes in body to rear-end crossmember (3) with drill hole detector. (areas J).
21. Install rear-end crossmember (3), fit and fix in place.
22. Drill rivet holes in previously transferred position on rear-end crossmember with Ø 6.7 mm bit (areas J).
23. Drill rivet holes on rear-end crossmember (3) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (areas H).
24. Remove rear-end crossmember (3).
25. Deburr rivet holes on rear-end crossmember (3) and body on both sides.
26. Remove drilling chips.

27. Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.

28. Install rear-end crossmember (3) and fix in place.
29. Rivet rear-end crossmember (3) with Ø 6.5x12.5 rivets (areas K).
30. Rivet rear-end crossmember (3) with Ø 6.5x14.5 rivets (areas L)
