	Remove/install
1	Open engine hood
2	Remove wiper arms		AR82.30-P-6100NKB
3	Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery	MODEL 117, 156, 176 with CODE U60 (Pedestrian protection)
			AR54.10-P-0003NKB
4	Remove edge guard from cover (1)
5	Detach drip rail on passenger side in area of windshield up to roof paneling	MODEL 117, 176	AR88.80-P-4000NKB
6	Remove bolts (2)
7	Disconnect electrical connectors (3) and remove from cover (1)	MODEL 117, 156, 176 with CODE U60 (Pedestrian protection)
8	Unclip hose line (7) and electrical line at left at cover (1)
9	Pull electrical lines (6) at right and left out of cable ducts (4) and place to one side	Place electrical lines (6) at right and left around fastening points (5), slide into cable ducts (4) and ensure that electrical lines (6) are routed without any chafing. Otherwise the electrical system may be damaged.
10	Remove cover (1)	Adjust cover (1) such that arrow on cover (1) lines up with marking on bulkhead. Ensure that inner sealing lip of cover (1) is seated correctly and check fit in the windshield.
11	Install in the reverse order
