| 2 | Use suitable tool to pry radial shaft sealing ring (5) out of timing case cover | Do not damage crankshaft (1) and timing case cover and use to push out a clean rag as a base. Leaks can occur otherwise. |

| 3 | Check contact surface of the radial shaft sealing ring (5) on hub of the belt pulley/vibration damper (3) for scoring and galling | In a case of scorch marks and galling ↓ replace belt pulley/vibration damper (3). |
