Open And Close Soft Top With Emergency Actuation - AR77.30-P-0999LWR

WARNING Risk of injury.  Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of mechanical components when moving components. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  when performing check and repair work in area of roll bar Keep body parts out of the area where the roll bars extend.
Do not use the cover in the area of the roll bar as a storage place for objects.		 AS91.00-Z-0003-01LCA
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.		 AS00.00-Z-0017-01A
  Close     
1 Open trunk lid (1).    
2 Unlock the rear backrests.    
3 Unlock the soft top bow (3). NOTES The soft top bow (3) must be unlocked before the soft top compartment lid (2).
Otherwise the cables for the soft top compartment lid locking lever could rip.		  
4 Unlock the soft top compartment lid (2) with emergency actuation back-up operating mechanism.   AR77.30-P-0999-03LWR 
5 Close trunk lid (1). IMPORTANT Once closed, the trunk lid (1) can be opened only via the diagnostic system because the soft top compartment lid (2) can no longer be closed as far as the end position following emergency actuation. The customer must be informed of this before the trunk lid (1) is closed.  
6 Open the soft top compartment lid (2) and use a suitable pin (8) to prevent it from shutting by itself.    
7 Move the left and right release lever (9) back in the direction of the arrow (A).    
8 Unclip trim (5).    
9 Remove the expansion rivet for the check straps on the right and left on the trim (5). If installed.  
10 Remove trim (5).    
11 Close the soft top (4) manually. IMPORTANT Helper required.  
12 Fold the center trunk partition (6) in the soft top compartment upward.    
13 Loosen the side trunk partition (7) on the left and right at the bottom on the velcro fastener.    
14 Lift the soft top bow (3) and remove the pin (8) on the soft top compartment lid (2). IMPORTANT Helper required.  
15 Place down first the soft top compartment lid (2) and then the soft top bow (3). IMPORTANT Helper required.  
16 Simultaneously push down the soft top compartment lid (2) on the left and right until it is completely closed. If there is residual hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic cylinders of the soft top compartment lid (2).
IMPORTANT Helper required.		  
17 Lock the soft top (4) using the emergency actuation. IMPORTANT Two helpers are required. AR77.30-P-0999-01LWR 
18 Lock the rear backrests. If necessary.
IMPORTANT Once locked, the rear backrests can be unlocked only using the diagnostic system because the trunk lid (1) can no longer be opened using the switch following emergency actuation.		  
  Open     
19 Open trunk lid (1). If the soft top (4) has not already been closed using the emergency actuation.  
20 Unclip trim (5). If the soft top (4) has not already been closed using the emergency actuation.  
21 Remove the expansion rivet for the check straps on the right and left on the trim (5). If installed and if soft top (4) was not previously closed via emergency actuation.  
22 Remove trim (5). If the soft top (4) has not already been closed using the emergency actuation.  
23 Unlock the soft top (4) with emergency actuation.   AR77.30-P-0999-02LWR 
24 Unlock the soft top compartment lid (2) with emergency actuation back-up operating mechanism. If the soft top (4) has not already been closed using emergency actuation. AR77.30-P-0999-03LWR 
25 Close trunk lid (1). If the soft top (4) has not already been closed using emergency actuation.
IMPORTANT Once closed, the trunk lid (1) can be opened only via the diagnostic system because the soft top compartment lid (2) can no longer be closed as far as the end position following emergency actuation.		  
26 Lift the fabric retaining clip (3), open the convertible top compartment lid (2) and secure it with a suitable bolt (8) to prevent it from closing automatically. ^^ IMPORTANT Helper required.  
27 Move the left and right release lever (9) back in the direction of the arrow (A). If the soft top (4) has not already been closed using emergency actuation.  
28 Attach the side trunk partition (7) on the left and right at the bottom to the velcro fastener. If the soft top (4) has not already been closed using emergency actuation.  
29 Fold down the center trunk partition (6) in the soft top compartment    
30 Open the soft top (4) manually. IMPORTANT Helper required.  
31 Mount the trim (5).    
32 Attach the check straps on the right and left on the trim (5). If installed.  
33 Clip in the trim (5).    
34 Remove the pin (8) on the soft top compartment lid (2) and place the soft top compartment lid (2) on the soft top (4).
